Toy Story 3

Is it weird that I'm 20 years old and really want to see Toy Story 3? I remember the first two movies from when I was a little chap and practically grew up on Pixar and Disney movies.

Nothing wrong with childhood nostalgia. I enjoyed Disney movies as a young lad as welll. If fact I had a buzz light year and woody toy when I was 6. I even had that dog slinky.

I wonder what ever happened to them....

EDIT: I just remembered :(. Damn you goodwill!

What does it really say about Disney/Pixar when they are still cranking out sequels to a movie originally made in 1995?

Im not disputing the quality of pixar movies, I have bought pretty much every one of their offerings on dvd, often without seeing them before hand. (Cars is still one of my favourite moves!)

But does this mean we can expect Toy Story 4 in 2015? Shrek 4 is around the corner and in all honesty, who even cares anymore? What started off as a great new movie franchise has succumb to sequel-syndrome and the quality has just plummeted. Shrek 3 was an awful contribution to the storyline and it wouldnt surprise me, based on how this ends that a a prequel comes along with a baby shrek and fiona together and fairy tale pre-school!

Do we need a Toy Story 3? I thought the idea of the toys facing the equivalent of their own mortality at the end of Toy Story 2, was ideal to round off the the whole thing.

Will I see it, probably, will I part with cash to see it? Not a chance. (As for Shrek 4, I dont admit Ive seen Shrek 3! So I wont be partaking in that either!)

From what I have heard, this one is every bit as good as Toy Story 1 or 2. Pixar isn't like Dreamworks; they don't need to come out with sequel after sequel so it can be a cash cow. They know that they can come out with a movie that features no talking for half the movie (WALL-E) or a movie starring an old man (UP) and still make more money than god. That being the case, I would say this sequel is more of a "We love these characters and we want to see where they go from number two". They wouldn't make it unless it lived up to its predecessors. :2 cents:

Hey man, I wanna see it to and I'm 67. Granted my intentions within the cinema itself aren't as innocent as yours but that being said once my deeds are done I'm sure the movie itself will be entertaining.

i went and saw the midnight premiere at a drive in....then the fucking film burned half way through....i was pretty upset

Is it weird that I'm 24 and still play with toys, pretending that they come alive whenever I leave the room. Except I call my version Toy Wars where there are several factions of warring toy tribes, each wanting to claim my bed as their territory. In the end I arrive and stop all the mindless toy deaths, and they make peace and proclaim me as their God.

i dont think its weird at all. When the first one came out, alot of us were kids who enjoyed it. And Pixar has it set up perfect where adults and children can both enjoy the same movie for both the same and different reasons. You'll hear quips in the movies that a kid wouldnt get but as an older person it might bring a smile to your face. Thats exactly what Pixar does bring smiles to the faces of many fans.

Moving to a trailer in Fife, AL.
As long as Cliff Claven has a job, I am happy. Keep cranking out the sequels. If he isn't in a Pixar movie, I believe he will go postal.

what the fuck you lookin at?
I was 15 when the first one came out, and didn't really care for that one. Guess I was to old to really enjoy it. So no desire to see this one. I do like some disney/pixar movies though.

Not sad at all, matter of fact I went to see it, and loved it.
