I saw Sophia Loren’s scene from the movie where she walks around in a wet see-through top in my twitter/x feed and just had to check it out.
The movie is based on the life of Catherine Hübscher, who started off as a washwoman and later become the wife of François Joseph Lefebvre, an army sergeant who became Marshal of France and was later elevated by Napoleon I to the rank of Duke of Danzig.
She was known by the nickname of Madame Sans-Gene, (literally Mrs No Embarrassment) because of her behavior, free speech and lack of proper manners at court.
Her story was first put on stage, then novel, depicted several times on the big screen, and even adapted for opera.
I must admit, watching Sophia’s, scene I was more interested in her friend. She goes by the name of Maria in original Italian version. She’s not listed among the cast. Could be Antoinette Weynen but I am not sure.
Also took the opportunity to check out how it compares to Ridley Scott’s movie Napoleon. While colors in Madame Sans Gene look vivid, fresh, inspiring… Napoleon’s are washed up, dull, gloomy... Almost the full color palette on display that makes me not want to watch any new movies or TV series. The only two colors that were missing were greenish and blueish tones, I guess those are reserved for sci-fi movies and series. The whole color grading thing makes me depressed when every other scene looks like you’re attending a funeral. Perhaps that was the plan, it’s a drama, although imdb has it under action/adventure.

Minka Kelly will be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow. She stars alongside Josh Duhamel on Netflix’s series, Ransom Canyon, which will be released on Thursday.
Lake Bell will be a guest on Live with Kelly and Mark on Wednesday. She’ll promote her children’s picture book, All About Brains: A Book About People, which will be available for purchase tomorrow.

Anamaria Vartolomei from the movie L'événement which is based on Annie Ernaux's novel of the same name and looks back on her experience with abortion when it was still illegal in France in the 1960s.
Anamaria stars in Robert Pattinson’s latest movie, Mickey 17, which was just released on VOD. The movie is an absurd comedy in the style of Idiocracy or perhaps Don't Look Up. It tests your patience. Mine ran out after twenty minutes.
Also didn’t particularly like the camera quality. I mentioned it before; I just can’t get past blurring effect of background objects in recent movies and TV series. They just don’t look natural or how my brain remembers background objects from old movies. Something is off.
You can also see the blurring effect in case of Anamaria nude from the back. How her butt is not in focus is a mystery to me. I am not sure if filmmakers go out of their way to make the image blurry in post processing or is ti the fault of digital cameras from the start.
I actually had to go to Mr. Skin and look up
best shower scenes to see if I remember the picture quality form old movies correctly. I guess I do.

Bella Ramsey will be a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon today. She’ll talk about the second season of HBO’s series, The Last of Us, which premieres on Sunday.
